Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AMPION is a brand of Ampion Labs, whose registered address is Noida. We decide how and why your personal data is used for the services described here.

2. What we collect

• Your project brief — the answers you give in the configurator, any notes, links and files you choose to add. You don’t need an account and we don’t ask who you are while you answer.
• Contact details — your name, company name (optional), email address and phone number, collected only when you choose to order a prototype.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive payment identifiers, amounts and status. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank credentials.
• Information stored on your device — your configurator answers are saved in your browser so you don’t lose progress. They stay on your device until you finish, clear them with “Start over”, or 14 days pass. An anonymous session identifier is kept for the length of your visit.
• Usage events — anonymous, first-party events such as “estimate generated” or “payment succeeded”, with the page, step and campaign tags (UTM). These events contain no names, contact details or project descriptions.
• Advertising measurement (only with your consent) — if you allow it, the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API record that you visited, started checkout or purchased, using cookies, your IP address and browser details. We may send a one-way hashed (SHA-256) version of your email and phone number to improve matching only if this is enabled and you have consented.

3. Why we use it

• To calculate your estimate, take your order, verify payment, build and deliver your prototype, and contact you about it.
• To send transactional emails such as your order confirmation and delivery notice.
• To keep the accounting records we are legally required to keep.
• To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the service secure (for example, rate limiting by a salted, non-reversible identifier derived from your IP address).
• With your consent, to measure which advertisements bring people to us.

We do not sell your personal data, and we don’t use your brief or files for any purpose other than your project.

4. Who processes data for us

We use trusted service providers who process data on our instructions:

• Hosting and infrastructure (for example Vercel) and database hosting (for example Supabase).
• Razorpay for payment processing.
• An email delivery provider (for example Resend) for transactional emails.
• Meta Platforms, only if you consent to advertising measurement.

Some providers may process data outside India. Where they do, we rely on their contractual and security commitments.

5. How long we keep it

• Briefs that never become an order: deleted after 90 days.
• Unpaid checkout attempts (including contact details): deleted after 30 days.
• Files you upload but don’t attach to a brief: deleted after 24 hours.
• Paid orders, payments and related contact details: kept for the period the law requires for accounting records.
• Anonymous usage events: deleted after about 13 months.

6. Your rights and choices

You can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, or withdraw a consent you’ve given, by emailing hello@ampionlabs.com. You can withdraw advertising consent at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact our grievance officer, Aryamann Kumar, at hello@ampionlabs.com. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to orders is restricted to authorised team members, order links are private and unguessable, and uploaded files are stored privately and never served publicly. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.

8. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We’ll update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
